What is the scope for a VLSI engineer?

The demand for the VLSI designers is quite high in order to develop System-on-chip and Application Specific Integrated Circuits. With the Indian market scenario looking good, the scope for a VLSI design professional is bound to grow and you will have a bright future.

Should I own a laptop for lab sessions?

Not necessary. Desktops will be provided in the lab. Having a laptop of your own will give you the freedom to work anywhere in the GLV premises.

What if I could not get placed after my course?

A one-month evaluation is done for you by GLV’s parent company engineers. Then a 5-month internship is provided with a good stipend amount. This will add weightage to your resume.

What tools are used in labs at GLV?

Though the concepts are more important than the selection of tools, we, at GLV make sure that the students are exposed to all industry-standard tools. This ensures the students adapt easily to any tool as soon as they are into a company.

Can I work on lab sessions even at home?

Yes. You will be given a VPN access to your laptop. You can connect to the GLV server remotely for the lab sessions. Only thing is you need high-speed internet connectivity to you laptop.

What after the internship for me?

By the time you finish your internship, you will be a potential candidate for any semiconductor company. GLV has partnered itself with many leading semiconductor companies including its parent company.
